- Description
-
This coffee from the Kayon Mountain Farm is processed using a natural/dry process that the Oromo people have been using for millenia. Esmael Hassen harvests strictly Ethiopian Heirloom on about 300 of his 500 hectares at an elevation that ranges from 1,900 to 2,200 masl.
-
Grown at high altitude, in fertile soil, and graced by loads of rain and the hands of expert farmers, this coffee lends itself to juicy and complex fruit flavors, with a softer tone than some of its washed Ethiopia counterparts.

- Notes
-
Coffee's from the Guji Zone are known for being some of the most complex and interesting coffees in the world, and noticeably different from Sidamo and Yirgacheffe coffees despite the three being in relatively close proximity.
-
Such coffees are noted for their almost explosive aroma, dramatic floral and fruit notes, and elegant body that one might often more closely associate with teas. A beautifully refined cup characterized by strong citrus acidity, caramel-like chocolate and complex floral notes.
