- Description
- This Geisha comes from 17 small producers in the Huila municipalities of Pitalito, Palestina, Acevedo, and Timana. The green coffee beans are hand picked based on ripeness and immediately de-pulped before fermenting in cement tanks for up to 40 hours. The beans are then double washed and laid to dry in parabolic greenhouses.
- Due to higher humidity, moisture and heat levels inside the greenhouse, this process can be especially delicate. Normally, pulped natural green coffees take around 10 days to fully dry, but this drying method prolongs the process, taking anywhere from 12-20 days depending on internal greenhouse conditions and the external environment/elements.
- Notes
- This coffee exhibits a flavor profile consistent with many Geisha coffees, extremely bright and floral. This specific lot has notes of your favorite childhood breakfast cereal, which come through strongly, but are balanced and not too overpowering.
