- Description
-
Rooted in ancient volcanic soils, Mafinga Hills sits on a high plateau of rolling hills in Northern Zambia at 2,300 masl, the country's highest point. The region shares its borders with Tanzania and D.R. Congo, while resting on the southern shore of Lake Taganyika, the worlds longest freshwater lake. On the equator but protected in high altitudes with grand biodiversity and natural water, Mafinga Hills is one of the top agricultural areas in Zambia.

Selective harvesting here is done 100 percent by hand to ensure the green coffee beans are at peak maturity and ripeness before being immediately pulped. The green coffee is then fermented and washed before being laid to sun-dry until moisture content reaches 12 percent.
